Dr. J.R. Russell has worked with world-renowned Christian artist and sculptor Max Greiner as a weapons consultant for the past two years on a functional version of the “Sword of the Spirit” sword originally part of the massive 18 foot tall Coming King sculpture. Russell provided specifications for blade metal composition manufacture, specifications for pommel materials fabrication and construction, as well as final paint tones and patina for the finished product. To commemorate the consultation partnership, Dr. Russell and his wife were invited by the artist to unveil the massive 57” sword at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Opryland Convention Center on February 7th – 10th. Thousands were in attendance and several interviews were held by Christian radio and television stations from all across the United States. The Gospel Martial Arts Union was highlighted and promoted in all interviews. Scores of connections were made and a tremendous amount of interest was generated!
